Lent 2025
This Year we have decided to spend the lent season with the People of our cooperative parish. Every Wednesday starting on ash Wednesday each church will have a small meal followed by a service preached by lay members of the church. We encourage everyone to come and participate.
Please note- All serves will start with a meal at 6pm with a service starting at 7 pm unless otherwise noted. If you have any questions please contact the host church directly. You can find Church phone numbers email address along with the address of the church located below.
Ash Wednesday March 5th - First Baldwin umc- (Baldwin) First Baldwin umc will be hosting Ash Wednesday service. They will have ashes available during the day between 10am-12 noon for those who might not be able to make to the evening service. The evening service will Start with a light meal at 6pm and the service will start at 7pm
March 12th- Wesley Umc- (Franklin Square) There will be a light meal starting at 6pm with a service to follow at 7pm to be preached by Terry Lloyd
March 19th- Uniondale umc (Uniondale)
March 22nd- Hempstead umc- join us for a musical presentation of "I am the resurrection and the life" 7pm at on the stage at Hempstead Umc
March26th- Church of the Good shepherd (West Hempstead) There will be meal starting at 6pm with service to follow at 7pm
April 2nd- Hempstead umc (Hempstead)
April 9th- Freeport umc (Freeport)
April 16th- Hempstead Umc (Hempstead)- Spanish service
April 17th- First Church of Baldwin (Baldwin) Holy Thursday-Dinner with a simple soup and bread will be served at 6pm with service to follow at 7 pm
April 18th- Hempstead Umc- Good Friday- Service will be 12 pm - 3pm
April 20th- Easter sunrise service - Details will be proved when they become available.
